Stalk The Line
The theme of the animation is routine. The main character goes through the steps from Point A (arriving home) to Point B (being in bed). The process from Point A to Point B is broken down into steps and compartments. As in a game, the main character must complete each task in order to continue. If she misses a step, she is thrown back or not allowed to proceed by a set of black lines that make up the activity compartments. Yet, during this whole time, all the character really wants to do is go to bed- hence a compartment with an image of herself in bed is always in sight, tempting, taunting. Finally she grows impatient, pushing open an empty compartment for herself, she lays down to sleep right then and there. At this point, the image of herself in the bed must get up and adhere to the sleeping body on the floor.
